2010 Spring Leader Training

Interested becoming a trip leader? Successful completion of the Boston Chapert AMC Spring Leadership Training Program will qualify you to co-lead trips for Hiking/Backpacking, Intro, Bike, Ski, Young Members, Forty +, Paddling and other Boston Chapter committees.
Topics include; trip planning and trip organization, safety, leadership styles, and group dynamics. Role plays and group situations emphasize experimental learning and decision making skills.
Open to all AMC members with preference given to active AMC trip participants.
Two evening sessions (Tuesday April 6, and Tuesday April 13, 6:45-9:30pm) at AMC, 4 Joy St., Boston; and one weekend workshop (April 23-25) in Harvard, Ma. Joy St. is near Park Street T Station and Boston Common.
The $50 fee covers the cost of the course manual, all materials, and lodging & food (except lunches) for the weekend workshop. The number of participants is limited to 24.
