Gropius House bike tour

2011-06-12 – 2011-06-12

Welcome to the Gropius House bike tour registration form.

Walter Gropius, a founder of the Bauhaus movement, designed a house for himself in Lincoln, Massachusetts. We will bike to this national historic landmark and tour the house.

Leaving from Alewife T station in the morning, we will bike to Concord, have lunch at Walden Pond or the De Cordova Museum, take a tour of Gropius House, and return to Alewife. We will be biking at a mellow pace, 12-14 mph. The morning will be a gradual ascent, starting on the Minuteman bike path, and the afternoon return will be on roads with rolling hills. We'll ride a total of about 35 miles.

To enjoy this trip, you should have ridden your bike at least once this year and gone on rides over 30 miles recently. Please bring a bike with street tires (no knobbies) and lunch. Helmets are required.

The cost for the Gropius House tour is $8. We will ask you to send us a check in advance. We may cancel the Friday before the trip if rain is likely, in which case we will send a refund.

Please fill out the information below so we can get to know you better. In the exercise area, let us know about your recent cycling experience.
